BOBSA MACHINERY is proud to announce that BOBSA SERVICE GAUTENG was officially launched on 01/06/2007.
BOBSA SERVICE GAUTENG will represent BOBSA in Johannesburg, Pretoria and the Natal area.
BOBSA SERVICE GAUTENG is owned by Richard Emerson, David Mafoka and BOBSA giving the company BEE status.

For all future new machine sales, in their area BSG will be working with the manufacturers engineers on all installations. This will allow us to give unsurpassed levels of service and back up for the machinery that we sell.
As with our Cape Town based service engineer both Richard and David will be travelling to our overseas manufacturers for full in-house training.
About the team
Richard Emerson
Richard was born in England and has been working in the packaging industry for over 25 years, after serving his apprenticeship he worked for S&S machinery travelling world wide installing and repairing new flexo/folder/gluers.
Richard immigrated to South Africa in 1982 and has been based in Johannesburg since then working for Nampak, Colmaine and Box lee as the senior engineer.
He has vast experience in all aspects of Corrugated converting machinery.
David Mafoka
David was born in Soweto and after schooling was employed at Box Lee working under Richards
instruction and training on the full range of corrugated converting machinery that they have.
He is fully conversant with corrugated converting machinery and has the knowledge to complete repair work and installations single handed.
Richard and David left Box Lee in 2005 and formed their own company RD Engineering which they successfully operated until BOBSA SERVICE GAUTENG was formed.
Services that will be offered
Machine Installations
New or second hand machine installations / Total turnkey projects available.
Emergency Machine Breakdowns
Fastest possible response time to your unscheduled corrugated machinery breakdowns.
Planned Maintenance schedules / Service contracts
BSG will visit a company on a predetermined time frame (monthly / bi-monthly or tri-monthly) to inspect the customer’s machinery.
Any problems that need immediate action will be attended to.
A full report on action that needs to be taken will be presented to the customer on all the corrugated equipment in his plant.
It is then at the customers discretion to carryout the work themselves or appoint BSG to do the work for them.
An individual cost for each company will be presented on request depending on the number and type of machines that have to be serviced.
Plant shutdown maintenance
If booked in advance BSG is available for plant shut down maintenance during holidays and on weekends if required.
Operator Training
BSG will be offering an ongoing operator training course for operators of corrugated converting machines (Printers / flexo folder gluers / die cutters etc).
This training will be carried out at the customer’s factory and will include both theoretical (classroom) explanation and physical hands on training at the customer’s machine(s).
A BOBSA Operator training certificate will be presented to all delegates that successfully complete the course.
David is fluent in several African languages if translation is required.
Maintenance Training
